Residents Honored at Councilwoman's Black History Month Event
Some of the state's top elected officials turned out for event recognizing local residents
A selection of Teaneck residents were honored Saturday at Councilwoman Lizette Parker's 4th annual Black History Month Program.
The event featured community leaders ranging from Teaneck council members to U.S. Senator Robert Menendez, Rep. Steve Rothman and Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr.
The following Teaneck residents were given awards at the event for their contributions to the community:
- Lillian Lewis, Community Service Award
- Ardie Walser, Education Award
- Andrea Holmes-Thompkins, Business Award
- Joanne English-Rollieson, Health Award
- Patrick Edmonds, Ashley Edwards, Camile Parker and Michael Pleasants were given the Youth Award for five years of dedication to the Teaneck Youth Advisory Board.
