Bergen County Warrant Sweep Nets Teaneck Men on Drug Charges
Prosecutor’s Office investigators seized cash, drugs in six county warrant sweep, authorities say
Two Teaneck men were among 20 people arrested Thursday by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force in a drug warrant sweep spanning six counties, authorities said.
The arrests came as a result of undercover drug investigations the task force conducted over the past 12 months, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said in a statement Friday.
Investigators seized two pounds of marijuana, more than one-half ounce of cocaine and approximately 100 pills of prescriptions drugs, along with about $3,200 in cash, the prosecutor said.
In Teaneck, Elm Avenue resident Daniel Robinson, III, and Taariq Huggins-Perdomo, of Genesee Avenue, were each arrested on charges of distribution of marijuana, distribution of marijuana within 1000 feet of school property and distribution of marijuana within 500 feet of a public park.
Robinson, 22, was released after posting $5,000 bail, according to county jail records. Huggins-Perdomo, also 22, was released on his own recognizance.
