Bischoff’s Named Top 10 ‘Need to Visit’ Ice Cream Shop
National magazine has praise for local favorite.
Bischoff’s has the attention of GQ magazine, making the publication’s list of top ten ice cream stores “you need to visit” around the country.
“Most fantastic flavor: Nostalgia. Not a flavor; a feeling. The 1930s live on,” the magazine writes in its August issue.
The Cedar Lane ice cream parlor was ranked among others in San Francisco and Portland.
Bischoff’s has been a Teaneck favorite since 1934. In addition to dozens of flavors made on site, the store sells candies, gifts, sandwiches and more.

Bischoff's provides a cheap date with my granddaughter. Then, again, there is the drive to Van Dyk's in Ridgewood and Charlie's Ice Cream in Rutherford.

I am one of Pat Overbey's daughter's who worked at Bischoff's, not only in high school, but also as a second job later on in life. The owners/family were a great group of people work for. They treated their employees fairly and with respect. I would work there again in a heartbeat. Any openings guys and gals?

Bischoff's is the best thing that has ever happened to Teaneck, except maybe, me.
