Caramelo is handsome and charming Pomeranian male dog. At 3-years old he is very energetic and full of life and will need a firm and confident leader to show him how the world really works. Adopters should incorporate structure and rules into his new life so he knows his boundaries. Social and highly excitable, he will need continued socialization and daily exercise. Because this is one smart cookie, extensive training is also suggested, which also provides him with mental stimulation. Caramelo will definitely be a fun companion who will give you joy and entertainment from start to finish. Bergen County Animal Shelter

Likie, a 10-month old Labrador, is a ball of fun energy who will keep any active family on their toes. Because she is so lively and young, she will most certainly need physical and mental stimulation. Longs walks, runs, hikes, etc. are all great ways to guarantee she receives the exercise she needs. Basic obedience, especially loose leash training, will not only wear her out, but it will also work her mind. Due to her hyper nature, she is not overly social therefore the shelter recommends positive socialization so she introduces herself to new people appropriately.
Little one is a cute 3 year old kitty who is easy to hold and loves to be pet. She has lived with children before. She was brought to the shelter when her previous owner lost their home.
Elsie, a Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound Mix, the confidence boosting she can get. Although she wants to meet new people, she is extremely unsure of herself and new situations. Because she is so young (4 months) she has every opportunity to learn the benefits of socialization. Elsie will need a confident handler who can improve her self-esteem and provide her with positive socialization. The more she interacts with strangers and realizes the good that can come out of human affection, the more she will come out of her shell.

The Bergen County Animal Shelter always has many animals who are looking for a great home.
