Carnival Thursday to Support Families of US Troops

Money will go to Family Readiness Group at Teaneck Armory, VFW says.

The Teaneck Veterans of Foreign War has planned a carnival in New Overpeck County to raise money for the Family Readiness Group at the Teaneck Armory

The FRG supports the families of troops while deployed.

Anyone who would like to donate can send checks to Teaneck VFW #1429, 650 American Legion Drive. Checks should note "Family Readiness Group/Carnival Project/Teaneck Armory."

More information, from the VFW, is below:

The Teaneck Veterans of Foreign War (VFW) 1429 is sponsoring a Spring Carnival April 19 to April 22. The Carnival will be held at the New Overpeck Park at 119 Challenger Road in Ridgefield Park. We are raising money to aid the Family Readiness Group that supports the Teaneck Armory National Guard. The Guard will be deployed again overseas very soon and need our help. We need to raise money to support the families that are left behind and help send care packages overseas. When the soldiers are deployed the families make less money then if they were working at their regular jobs.
