Commuting News: Buses Replace Pascack Valley Trains

Commuters should take Main/Bergen line

Buses will replace weekday midday trains and all weekend trains on the Pascack Valley Line until June 26.

On weekdays from 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and each weekend starting from 12:45 a.m. Saturday until 12:45 a.m. Monday passengers will take buses to destinations on the Pascack Valley Line, due to maintenance on the line. Buses will operate from Spring Vally, N.Y. to Secaucus Junction.

Commuters should allow an extra 30 to 60 minutes travel time. There will be no direct connection between stations, so commuters might have to travel to Secaucus and then catch an outbound bus to travel between stations along the Pascack Valley Line.

To avoid delays, commuters might want to take the Main/Bergen County line instead. The substitute bus schedules are available on the NJ Transit website.
