It's "at the shore." "Down the shore" is a New Jersey regionalism that marks one as crude and illiterate.

I think it arose because people would say "Down to the shore", which was then shortened to "Down t'the shore" and then "Down the shore." I think it just came out of sloppy pronunciation.

Billy Mays Ex

As I testified in our divorce proceedings my now EX was as immature as one can get. He's not really a banker, but he does work for a bank as head janitor. He' got all his subordinates convinced he knows everything, but in truth he doesn't know dilly.

I would take everything he says or claims with a grain of salt.

Not having been in this area too long, I can only hope the level of comments to this posting do not indicate the mental standard of most of those who live in Fort Lee. What an astonishing level of idiocy.

The Allaire Village in Wall Township, where a Civil War Encampment this past Sunday was great. It included artillery demonstrations, battalion drills, musket cleaning, dress parades and more civil war stuff. What warmed my heart was that it was all free! We enjoyed it immensely.
