More than 400 Holocaust-related works given to Teaneck school district.
The following was provided by the Teaneck Public School District:
Superintendent of Teaneck Schools Barbara Pinsak, with members of the Teaneck Board of Education at a recent board meeting formally thanked Teaneck residents Lynda and Nina Ores for their gift to the Teaneck Schools.
The Ores family generously donated over 400 Holocaust-related volumes from the collection of their husband and father, the late Dr. Richard Ores, a Holocaust survivor who was liberated from Dachau in 1945. His collection is valued at over $5000. It will be prominently displayed along with a previously donated collection of Holocaust books in the Library Media Center on the second floor of Teaneck High School.
