Rabbi Lawrence Zierler, Administrator Maya Fridman, Angelea Wilkerson, Baker L'via Weisinger, Shahn Rosler, and TVAC Captain Mike Rothschild.

The Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps held its first ever fund-raising gala at the Jewish Center of Teaneck Saturday.  The event, titled "Festival of Flavors," attracted more than 300 people.  Food was provided by local restaurants and caterers, and the event featured raffle prizes.

TVAC is the town's all volunteer emergency medical service and has more than 100 members working 24 hours a day.  The ambulance service answered upwards of 4,000 calls for service last year.

The volunteer service relies heavily on donations.  For more information about TVAC, including to sign up or make a donation, visit www.teaneckvac.org

FYI - My name is L'via Weisinger, not L'bia...and I own L'via's Luscious Creations - a cake decorating business in Teaneck, and I occasionally "guest-decorate" at Butterflake Bakery in Teaneck. This ambulance cake was a huge undertaking and a joint effort between me and the team at Butterflake.
