Teaneck celebrates Arbor Day while helping local food pantry fight hunger.
Teaneck hosted its first "Greenfest" celebration Sunday, an event celebrating Arbor Day while supporting a local food pantry and educating residents on green living.
As part of the event, residents planted a vegetable garden with produce for the Teaneck Helping Hands food pantry.
The day was sponsored by the Shade Tree Advisory Board, the Teaneck Advisory Commission on Sustainability and the Garden Club of Teaneck Greenhouse Committee.
