The Bergen County Bomb Squad removed a grenade from this home near the corner of West Palisade Avenue and Belmont Street on Saturday, Aug. 18.

The Bergen County Police Department’s Bomb Squad was called in to remove a grenade found in the backyard of a home on West Palisade Avenue Saturday, authorities said.

Englewood police setup a perimeter at the home, near Belmont Street, while the bomb squad removed the device, county police said. It was not immediately clear if the grenade was active nor who initially reported its presence to Englewood Police.
