Help Cleo Find a Real Home

Shelter pets looking for a home

0 of 0
Cleo is a medium size, adult calico cat, who has been at the shelter three months and really needs a home. She came to the shelter with four other cats when her owner sadly had to go into a nursing home. She is pretty scared at the shelter and tends to hide but she is doing fine with the other cats in the cat display where she lives. Now because she hides she is a bit hard to see but will warm up to you quickly when you start to pet her as she seems to really enjoy human interaction. She is about 4 years old, is up to date with shots, has tested negative for Feline Aids & Feline Leukemia and will be microchipped before leaving our shelter. Bergen County Animal Shelter

At 9-years-old, Mama is one sweet lady and still has a lot to give to whomever is willing to take her under their wing. She came to the shelter as an owner surrender because the owner was moving and couldn't take her along. Unfortunately, she is now wondering why she has been left alone. The shelter is trying to find this golden oldie a good and quiet home to live out her years in peace. Mama has a delightful temperament and will win your heart over at first sight. Laid back and calm, this 26 pound cutie will make a great companion for a family looking for a relaxed older girl.
Princess is a gorgeous tabby cat who came to the shelter as an owner surrender. She is one lovable gal. Although she likes to be held, she doesn't seem to be able to keep still. It's easier to give her affection while she's on all fours. Curious and lively, this 1-year old will need all the love and attention a youngster like her deserves. She is not yet spayed but will be before she goes home.
Sherman, a hound/terrier mix, cannot get enough of human affection. Once he realized the benefits of socializing, he is unable to resist introducing himself to strangers. Although this is a fantastic quality, the shelter want to make sure it doesn't escalate into needy behaviors. Adopters will have to be able to correct this and only reward him when he's calm and quiet. Because he came in as a stray, the shelter is unable to determine his past lifestyle, but are extra happy to know he loves to surround himself with people. Basic obedience along with physical and mental exercise are great ways to help with bonding and shedding some excess weight.
Zachary is calm, cool and collected. This sweetheart of a cat was found as a stray. It's a wonder how social and tranquil he is. The more affection he gets, the more he wants. This loveable boy will be happy to purr and knead his way into your heart. Zachary is a wonderful adult who is neutered and all set to go home. We guarantee you will fall in love with him as soon as you look into his eyes. This unique fella has two different colored eyes, which makes him even more of an awesome companion.
