Police Investigating Attempted Gunpoint Robbery
Three teens with guns fled a robbery attempt late Wednesday night, police said.
Three would-be robbers reportedly tried to hold up two men at gunpoint at Prospect Terrace and Summit Avenue late Wednesday night, police said.
The assailants pulled guns and demanded the two victims empty their pockets, but the pair managed to run away before anything was taken, police said. The incident was reported around 11:40 p.m.
Detailed descriptions were not immediately available, but police believe the attackers were three black male juveniles, one with a white tank top. Police said the three fled on mountain bikes toward Englewood on Forest Avenue.
No shots were fired, according to police.
