Utility crews had to temporarily cut power to 1,200 area customers, including some in Teaneck, Tuesday afternoon, PSE&G said.
PSE&G crews had to repair a wire requiring the hour-long service interruption, according to utility spokeswoman Kristine Snodgrass.
Service was fully stored by 5 p.m.
The outage impacted customers around River Road and near American Legion Drive.

This is such a nuisance. When ever any small storm come our way, we seem to always lose power. Even on normal day's we seem to get Brown-outs. I wonder why? Lets just hope that today's power outage was for a good reason.

DMAB6395, I just recvd automated message from PSE&G and they now claim that the power outages was due to, and I quote (message recorded on my answering machine),: Power Outage due "to severe weather with strong winds that damaged PSE&G's equipment". With that being said, winds were not so strong for that to happen. Plus, I've lived in this area for more than 25 years, and Power Outages to this area is TOO COMMON. Perhaps their equipment is getting old and can't handle a regular rainstorm. Normally, for repairs, PSE&G advise their customers via an automated phone call. I've received them before.

You said you just received that message but if you read above it says that they were repairing a wire. They called you a day after what you wrote.
