White Christmas May Be Seen in the Region
A weak storm front expected to bring up to two inches of snow starting Monday night.
Cross your fingers.
As of Sunday, weather projections indicate a storm front entering the region that could give us—gasp—a white Christmas.
According to the National Weather Service, there is a 20 percent chance of snow on Tuesday, with a temperature ultimately reaching 38 degrees.
Stephen Pellettiere, with Ion Weather based at the Morristown Municipal Airport, said current projections appear to have the small storm begin producing at about 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve, tapering off at the latest 6 a.m. Tuesday morning.
"A little storm is passing to our south," he said. "There's a tenth of an inch of moisture, which translates to about an inch of snow."
Some areas, including southern Morris County, could see as much as two inches of the white stuff. Whereas parts along the Shore may see more of a slushy wintry mix, Pellettiere said.
"Everyone is pretty much going to share the same amount of moisture," he said. "It will be on the light side. But, it might just be enough to give us a white Christmas. Just enough to make the day."

Christmas is the most wonderful time for all,we gather,we eat,we laugh,we open
gifts if we have them, but most of all,we are with those that love us the most.
Christmas spirit fills us with the hope, that everything will work out ok,and things are
better when we care for each other.
We will always miss our loved one's taken from us ,but they ,I'm sure would say,be happy, This time of year comes but once, enjoy it,be proud to be an American.

-gasp- a white Christmas! Don't you mean a white holiday, or even better just a white Dec. 25?
Mr. Editor, your New Year's resolution should be to bone up on your P.C!
Merry Christmas!

leave it to the nut jobs to comment about their imaginary war on christmas.
drive past FL borough hall and there is a baby jesus nativity scene and plenty of christmas decorations. no one complains about this, it is accepted by most that christmas is the most "popular" religion.
the "war" on christmas was invented by fox news to scare christians because they know their party is falling apart and they are getting desperate.

Yeah, you've got to love this self-pitying balderdash when Xmas is shoved down everyone's throat from Thanksgiving on. Apparently too much is not enough for some!

Nancy – I don’t shove my religion or Christmas down anyone’s throat. I don’t care if you celebrate Christmas or nothing, that’s your choice, and my choice is to say Merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas!

Edward, Don't you think you should act like a Christian first? I don't remember Christ healing someone based on their income. I also never heard a Conservative say "blessed are the poor". Maybe tonight before you go to bed get a read print (Christ's words) Bible and study his words. I promise you will awake a new person.

I celebrate Yule. I don't get mad when someone says Merry Christmas to me. I say it back, because they obviously celebrate it.
But I will not be forced to wish anyone a Merry Holiday I don't celebrate. My Christian friends get a Merry Christmas. To my Jewish friends, I wish them a Happy Chanukah, if I know someone's faith I give them the correct greeting. Because I respect their right to have a believe other than mine. If I don't know your religion I might say Happy Holidays, or I might just say have a nice day. If they work in public safety, I wish them a safe day.
If you don't like that, well stew in your own bitterness. You have things a lot better than the early Christians.

Henry, Oh Please – For the average monthly cost of less than a cell phone, cable TV, and Internet service, you can buy a decent HAS with a $2,500 detectable, and you don’t have to worry about losing your house or filing bankruptcy.
Why is it we here in America believe our doctors, nurses, and other medical providers should work for free, or at best minimum wage? I was once told by a computer programmer how his job requires more skills and brain power than a brain surgeon, and he actually believed himself!
Priorities my friends, that is what life is all about, priorities. If you want to live like the guy making $200,000 or $300,000 a year, then you need to develop a skill set and have a marketability of a person who can demand $200,000 or more a year. But running up $70,000 on credit cards trying to be that $200,000 plus a year person, when your skill sets and marketability only allow you to make $38,000 a year, isn’t going to work, and at the end of the day that’s your problem, not mine. Don’t reach into my pocket and I won’t reach into yours!

Yup. Pass the eggnog and be proud to be an American. The economy sucks, the middle class is eroding, sick people can't afford medical treatment because they have no health insurance, and the rest of the world thinks we're a bunch of trigger-happy gun nuts.
Read your history books. Remember what happened to the Roman Empire? We're well on the way to following the same path.

Jill, I agree with you, except the part about health insurance. I can afford mine, but I put it at the top of my payment list. In front of Cell Phones, I-pads, Internet Service, Computers, New Cars, Vacations, Nights Out, Movies, HBO, Cinemax, Cable TV, $500.00 wallets, $30,000 wedding rings, a house with more rooms than I need, or a 3 car garage …. I used to pay my mortgage first, but after 13 years of sacrifice and thrifty living I paid it off, oh what a relief that is.
I don’t begrudge anyone of anything. So you see if you can afford a brand new car or two, a 5,000 Sq. Ft. house, $500.00 Pocket Books, $30,000 diamond rings, Cell Phones, I-pads, Internet Service, Computers and all that other stuff, God Bless You, just don’t turn around and ask me to pay your health insurance bill, and I won't ask you to pay mine - Okay?

And why is it that we all need health insurance that very few of us can afford?
Insurance is required strictly to be able to avoid bancruptcy and losing one's home.. that is what it amounts to. Our system is corrupt and too far out of control to reign in...I accept that and live one day at a time. Regardless, Merry Christmas to all.

Healthcare isn't a right, it's a gift that humanity gives to itself. You can't force people to be doctors, nurses, researchers, biochemists, etc. to make-up the healthcare field. People have to want to do it.
Thank God that there are those willing to pursue those noble professions to help the rest of us.

Selene – If you truly know of families that can’t feed themselves there is plenty of private and public aid available to help these families. Please direct them towards any local church, and or their local government where they will receive an abundance of aid with not only food, but clothing and medical attention too.
I don’t understand what you mean by saying Health Care is a Right? Could you expand on that please?
