The following release was submitted by the Teaneck School District:

On Tuesday, June 19, the Teaneck Public Schools embarked upon its summer long, district-wide ground mounted solar panel installation project by breaking ground on the frontlawn of Thomas Jefferson Middle School. Representatives from district architectural firm, Di Cara Rubino, Barrier Electric and Hudson Energy gathered with district and school administration, the board of education, members of the municipal government and students from Thomas Jefferson as well as members from the community to initiate this energy and money saving project, which is expected to be complete in September. Through a Power Purchase Agreement with Hudson Energy there will be no cost to taxpayers for this project.
