Although miles away, a large smoke plume from a brush fire near the Izod Center was visible from Teaneck Road Wednesday afternoon.

NJ.com reported the smoke was seen in points as far away as New York City and Essex County.

The fire is burning near Paterson Plank Road in Carlstadt, according to CBSNewYork.com. Several Bergen County fire departments were helping to battle the flames, first reported around 1 p.m.

There were no immediate reports of any injuries or damage to buildings.

Traffic delays were being reported on the New Jersey Turnpike’s Western Spur and Route 3, according to the state Transportation Department.

The dry and breezy weather has sparked flames across New Jersey, including two minor brush fires along Route 4 in Teaneck. In Mahwah, fire crews were kept busy by at least seven fires through Monday

Stay away from the IZOD center. I am finally going to see Aerosmith again there in the summer & nothing is going to stop me. Seriously I hope they can get it out under control & that no one gets hurt while trying. Please God we need no more windy days & we need lots of rain(not all at once) but we need the rain
