SUV Crashes into House in Teaneck

Teaneck firefighters, police and Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps members responded to the scene on Edgewood Avenue Thursday where an SUV struck a house. There were no serious injuries.

One person was taken to the hospital after the SUV they were in struck a tree then hit a house on Edgewood Avenue Thursday afternoon, authorities said.

The driver was apparently trying to make a u-turn, but didn’t realize the car was in drive when the single-vehicle crash occurred, police said. The Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps brought a back seat passenger to be checked at Holy Name Medical Center for complaints of pain.

The driver and another passenger declined medical attention, authorities said.

Usually the car is in drive when you are driving it not sure why the driver woudln't have figured that out. Looks like a new car and it is all ready totalled.
