Teaneck Encourages Residents to Sign up for Alerts
Local events, emergency notifications available, according to the township.
A snowstorm in October 2011 left widespread damage across Teaneck. The town and Bergen County alert system can send e-mail messages in major emergencies.

The township is reminding residents to sign up for emergency and news alerts on the revamped town website.
To sign up:
- Go to the Township website at www.teanecknj.gov
- Click on “Alerts Sign Up” on the left-hand side of the home page
- Fill in the form. You will automatically be subscribed to “Public Emergencies.” In addition, you can select any or all of the following categories: “Township Council Agenda,” “Important Notices,” “Teaneck News,” and “Teaneck Events.”
- Click “Sign Up” at the bottom of the form.
Emergency alerts are also available through the Bergen County Office of Emergency Management at www.bcoem.org, or by clicking the button during Teaneck’s sign up process.
