The Teaneck Creek Conservancy will host the Bergen County Audubon Society for the "Great Backyard Bird Count" on Feb. 17.
Now in its fourteenth year, the bird count involves tens of thousands of participants across the United States and Canada. Birders will identify species, count the birds and log the information on the Great Backyard Bird Count's website.
In New Jersey, more than 1,600 participants have tallied 165 species and more than 445,000 birds.
Participants will meet at 9:30 a.m. in the Teaneck Creek Conservancy's parking lot at 20 Puffin Way. For further information, call Peggy O'Neill 201-868-5829 or Don Torino 201-636-4022.
