Teaneck Landlord Accused of Stabbing Tenant

Victim suffered puncture wound to the abdomen, police say.

A 43-year-old Teaneck man was in intensive care after being stabbed by his landlord Friday at a two-family house where they both live on Bogert Street, according to township police

Officers were called shortly before 11 p.m. and found the man suffering from a puncture wound to the abdomen, said Sgt. Scott Tesser. The Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps rushed the wounded man to Hackensack University Medical Center.

The victim told officers he was attacked by his 76-year-old landlord Clinton Jackson, police said. Jackson was charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose.

He was being held under guard Saturday night at Bergen Regional Medical Center on $15,000 bail, with no ten percent option, sheriff’s office records show.

Detectives were investigating what sparked the assault.
