Police: Teaneck Man Pulled Gun On Neighbor For Farting

Gun found in 72-year-old's vehicle, according to police.

A 72-year-old Teaneck man was arrested Monday night after he allegedly pulled a gun on a neighbor for farting outside his apartment, police said. 

Daniel Collins Jr. pointed a .32-caliber Taurus revolver at the man in a common area of a Cedar Lane apartment building after he claimed he heard the man fart from inside his apartment, Detective Sgt. Thomas Sullivan said. 

He threatened the neighbor, saying "I'll put a hole in your head," according to police. The two have been involved in an ongoing dispute.

Officers responded around 9:25 p.m. and found the gun in Collins’ vehicle, Sullivan said. 

Collins was charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, making terroristic threats and aggravated assault. He was later released on his own recognizance.
