A food and clothing drive organized by the Teaneck Policemen’s Benevolent Association amassed truckloads of donations for areas hardest hit by Hurricane Sandy.

In cooperation with the Teaneck teachers union, donations from district schools were able to fill two large trucks, Superintendent Barbara Pinsak told the school board Wednesday.

Employees at Holy Name Medical Center also delivered a truckload worth of goods to the PBA’s collection site at the American Legion Drive parking lot.  Some residents even hit the nearby Stop & Shop to buy food for the drive.

Donations will benefit the entire community, including PBA members who suffered their own losses while serving hard-hit towns.
