Teaneck Fourth of July Guide: Parade, Park Celebration Planned

A look at local holiday events.

Teaneck will hold its Fourth of July Annual Community Celebration in the south end of Votee Park, featuring fun and food.

The celebration will include inflatables, stilt walkers, pony rides, temporary tattoo artists, balloonists, cartoon characters, a D.J., Mr. Giggles Variety Show, fire truck displays, police vehicles and more, according to the township. The event runs from 10 a.m. to noon.

The July 4 parade will begin at 9:30 a.m. at Queen Anne Road and Highwood Street, following Queen Anne Road to Votee Park.

Although the township isn't hosting any official fireworks displays, other nearby towns have shows planned. Click to check out our list

love the parade because the people of Teaneck come out to watch us. The views along both sides of the Queen Anne Road are filled with people of all sizes and colors, ages and genders, families and friends. We are living the dream written by the Founding Fathers, Abraham Lincoln and the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. Other towns probably do similar but I think Teaneck does it more. It is now in our DNA: Equality, Diversity, Mutual Respect.
