Bag Found at Glenpointe Prompts Bomb Squad Response
Police say bag found to be harmless after bomb technician investigates.
A small bag of garbage found in the parking lot of the Glenpointe complex led to a response from Teaneck police and the Bergen County Bomb Squad Saturday afternoon.
Security officers first reported the package, found in a parking space near the hotel's southern entrance, to Teaneck police around 4 p.m., police said. Officers cordoned off a section of the lot while a county police bomb technician investigated.
Police said the package was later found to contain trash and the area was reopened by around 6:30 p.m. The complex was not evacuated.
