Incumbent David Diuguid lost his reelection bid, with 3,438 votes.

Thank you to Dr. Diuguid for your many years of service to the School District.
For Dr. Gruber and the eight Board members including Sarah Rappoport, this is the time to learn from differing points of view and come up with some good ideas and compromises. Keep the Teaneck School system improving.

Congrats to all the winners. I am sorry to see Dr. Diuguid go and from the drop off in votes between him and his running mates, I am wondering who threw him under the school bus.

Zizi - The Teaneck school system is strong with amazing programs, services and professionals and support staff serving it. Now, are the numbers, from a FISCAL perspective, higher than state wide averages, could there be room for tightening the belt, or doing things a bit more efficiently so the funds could be spent on our CHILDREN with added services and programs...that is what our TBOE must investigate and look into. I think the TBOE and school administrators are providing a great product to our children...the question is about fiscally, can we do it as strong or stronger for a better "rate" - more bang for the buck or use the extra bucks for additional items. Trashing the system or perhaps your comment reflecting that you may be trashing the system does little to help the situation. Rather, proper discourse, involvement and study of the system and its budget is required, by experts and strong, understanding volunteers, like our public servants on the TBOE will get this district to be even stronger and better. But, make this about our children and their future, not bashing people or a system.

These numbers tell the tale...The BOE has been leading an inefficient runaway train on the backs of the homeowners for way too long, with no fiscal accountability; even backdooring yet another budget increase referendum that was voted down a few years ago. We still spend 4 to 5 thousand $ more PER PUPIL than other similar districts, and have poorer scores to show for it. Why is the level of expectation here so warped?

@Jason Flynn: Please read "Hey hey hey" comments...... I don't think Teaneck school system is doing a fair job...... They are wasting our tax money and they are providing very inferior education to our kids...
When people like me criticize and point the facts... we get labeled as the "enemy" of the public education........ I consider education as the single most important thing a society can do for the next generations..... My problem is that the Teaneck educational system is a bottomless pit where our tax dollars go to waste..... we spend a lot per kid and get one of the worst results in the state...... It is shameful......
