Monday morning could bring snow and sleet across Bergen County, followed by scattered freezing rain into the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
The agency has issued a winter weather advisory for the area from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday.
Snow early in the day could make for slippery driving conditions, the advisory said, noting snow could collect on top of icy roadways.
The full National Weather Service forecast for Teaneck is below:
- Monday: Snow likely before 2pm, then rain, possibly mixed with sleet between 2pm and 4pm, then rain after 4pm. High near 36. Calm wind becoming southwest 5 to 8 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
- Monday Night: Rain likely before midnight, then areas of drizzle between midnight and 3am, then a chance of rain or drizzle after 3am. Cloudy, with a low around 34. Southwest wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
- Tuesday: A chance of drizzle, mainly before 9am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 50. Calm wind becoming west around 6 mph in the morning.
- Tuesday Night: A chance of showers, mainly after midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 41. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 30%
