Yankee is a young, medium size pit bull terrier. Lively as can be, this sweet and social pooch will be the love of your life. At 6 months old, Yankee will need all the necessities a growing adolescent requires; from housebreaking to basic obedience and puppy classes. This energetic and vivacious youngster will need plenty of physical and mental stimulation. Walks and runs are great ways to release all that pent up energy and are also a wonderful way to help with the bonding process. This young guy tends to take his treats and some toys too seriously. Although he shows some signs of guarding, he has great potential. Bergen County Animal Shelter

Although Mickey, a pit bull terrier, has an outgoing personality, she is easily frightened and becomes unsure in completely new situations. A lot more socialization will be required, as well as puppy classes if Mickey is to be included in the family. Sweet as pie, she is eager to please and very energetic. She will need plenty of physical and mental stimulation through walks, runs, hikes, agility courses which will also help in the bonding process. Mickey can be wary with new people so it may be best to introduce her to her new home and family before introducing her t the world.
Gracie is about a year and a half old. She has lived with children before. Gracie is a little shy at the shelter, but we hope she will warm up soon.
Charlie is a very nice cat. He is 9 years old and front declawed. Charlie has lived with cats, dogs and children before.
Zeus, a Labrador Retriever/Hound Mix, was brought in because his owner was moving and couldn't take him along, unfortunately. But he is doing just fine and is quite the charmer. Happy and friendly, Zeus would do well in a home that is able to provide him with more advanced training and plenty of physical activity. This will not only burn off some excess energy, but it will also work his mind.
