E-mail noah@patch.comThis week at the Bergen County Animal Shelter there are many pets who are looking for a great home to call their own but two are the featured pets of the week. Maya is a two year old female pit bull terrier who arrived at the shelter because she grew too big for her previous owner's apartment. Although not very social, which may be due to adjusting to life in the shelter, she is sweet with people. According to the shelter, she is mild-mannered and relatively calm for her breed and age. The best home for Maya would be one with adults or older teens and a family who has owned dogs before. …
