 k is a working musician and actively published musicologist. Her career 
 as a concert musician began in the 1970's with youthful performances aro
 und the US and Canada\, with a primary large audience at the Capitol Rot
 unda in Washington DC at a celebratory festival concert for the 1976 US 
 Bicentennial. In early 2006\, Ileen was included in Who's Who in America
 n Women and Who's Who in Education in America\, and in 2009 was added to
  the roster of International Who's Who in Music.Ileen attended Wittenber
 g University (sacred music) studying conducting and orchestration with J
 ohn Williams and Ian Polster\, New York University for humanities\, and 
 the Mannes College of Music (MM classical performance and theory)\, stud
 ying with Robert Secrist\, Frederic Hand\, Charles Kaufman\, Julius Levi
 ne\, Yakov Kreizberg\, Leo Edwards and Marie Powers and completed her gr
 aduate library studies with Jane Gottlieb at the Juilliard School.&nbsp\
 ;Ileen&rsquo\;s scholarly work has been focused on the performance\, doc
 umentation\, historiography and promotion of music and performing arts. 
 As a music annotator\, analyst and critic\, she has worked for over 15 y
 ears with major arts agencies\, technical journals and CD labels in perf
 orming arts media\, technical writing\, editing and proofreading\, follo
 wing a career as a successful classical touring musician.In 2010\, after
  living 25 years in Manhattan\, Ileen moved back to where she was born &
 ndash\; Bergen County. Working in her teaching studios in both Teaneck a
 nd New York\, she specializes in teaching and coaching up-and-coming you
 ng musicians\, college-bound guitarists\, adults with backgrounds in oth
 er instruments\, in classical\, acoustic and crossover styles.
