The River Acoustic Band will kick off a monthly music series at the Campbell Christie House, 1201 Main Street, River Edge, NJ, 07661, called Music at the Black Horse, on Thursday, January 26 at 8:00 PM. Seating is limited to 32 guests. Suggested donation: $7.00, BCHS members, free. Light refreshments will be available for purchase. The venue will feature unplugged acoustic oriented music on the last Thursday of the month in a relaxed atmosphere set inside of a historic tavern. The River Acoustic Band performs an eclectic mix of folk, blues, bluegrass, roots rock as well as original music. They perform in venues throughout Bergen, Rockland and Westchester Counties. The band features Steve Kelman, Lead Guitar, Harmonica, Mandolin, Strumstick and Vocals, John Bruton, Lead Vocals, Guitar, Strumstick and Harmonica, Mike Lord, Percusion and Vocals.

Historic New Bridge Landing is the headquarters of the Bergen County Historical Society. Built in 1752, it is a historic attraction and was a battleground during the American Revolutionary War, featuring the Zabriskie-Steuben House, the Demarest House and the Campbell-Christie House.
