Tonight the 2012 Olympic games will open in London. Despite valiant efforts to have the International Olympic Committee acknowledge the "Munich 11" murdered at the Munich Olympic games in 1972, the IOC continues to resist such efforts. Therefore, many communities across the globe have joined in grass root efforts to have their own 'minute of silence' out of respect to the Munich 11. The local gathering in Teaneck will take place TODAY at 4 pm to coincide with the opening ceremonies of the London Olympics. All who are able and wish to pay tribute to the Munich 11, are encouraged to attend. The local gathering will take place at the Cedar Lane Plaza.Thanks,Ken Goffstein - for the organizers.
