Teaneck High School, known in town as the "Castle on the Hill," is Teaneck's only public high school. In addition to traditional high school curriculum, Teaneck High School has "academy" programs that allow students to focus on specific areas of study. One program, Technology-Enriched Academy for Mathematics and Science, is an honors curriculum for students interested in math and science. In addition, the Teaneck Arts Academy is another program available for students interested in focusing on the arts.

Teaneck High School offers more than 120 courses as well as a 45 honors and advanced placement courses, independent studies and a range of electives. Outside of the classroom, students can participate in 26 varsity sports and several school clubs. After school programs include Cheerleading, Flag Twirlers, H.E.A.L., Marching Band, Terpsichoreans, National Honor Society, Yearbook, Student Council and SOLA (Student Organization of Latin Awareness).

The school library and media center are linked to the county-wide Bergen Electronic Library System and Bergen County Cooperative Library databases giving students access to materials in other libraries.
