Profiting from Travel

Traveling and the holidays virtually go hand-in-hand — everyone has either experienced the pain of holiday travel or known someone who has been impacted by holiday travel. Crowded buses, congested highways, and packed planes are all simply a cost of doing business around the holidays: this is what happens when millions of people all try to travel on the exact same day. The day before Thanksgiving is the busiest travel day of the year, and considering that day is tomorrow, it seems appropriate to discuss some of the ways that holiday travel impacts the economy and your budget.

Normally we discuss ways to save money on travel – buy tickets for off-day, shop around on sites like Kayak, Expedia, and Priceline, and other strategies to help make traveling more budget friendly. Today, however, we are going to take a look at the largest firms in the travel industry, and this might give you the information you need to make investing in travel a profitable venture. Everyone travels, and the volume of travelers has begun to recover from the lows that followed the 2007-2008 economic recession, so this might be an excellent opportunity to take advantage of these travel firms.
