On March 24th, the Teaneck Community Charter School hosted a live music event at Mexicali Live in Teaneck. The audience was treated to some great food and live music from members of the school community, including students, parents and even some of their teachers.
“It was an amazing experience being able to sing and play in front of the audience,”
said Michelle B., a 5th grader at T.C.C.S. “It was also cool to be able to rock with my dad and my sister!”
Michelle played the guitar and sang with her band. Her group consisted of her father, Jim, on bass guitar and her sister, Mia, who played the drums. They led the crowd in various selections from the group “Green Day.”
The event provides the opportunity for students, parents, teachers and members of the community to sing and play music in a real life venue and feel like stars for the night! The school focuses on providing hands on activities for students.
