Sandy Relief Concert Planned at BergenPAC in Englewood

Money raised will go to charities supporting Sandy victims, according to bergenPAC.

The Bergen Performing Arts Center will host a Sandy relief concert next month featuring some of Broadway’s top performers with all of the proceeds going to three charities, the center announced.

The show will include the “world’s best tap dancer Savion Glover, poet Carlos Andrés Goméz, plus established Broadway Stars including Bobby Creighton, Ali Ewoldt, Joy Hermalyn, Adam Jacobs, Elisabeth Stanley, Ali Stroker and more to be announced,” a news release said.

Funds raised will go the Hurricane Sandy Jersey Relief Fund, Pet Res Q, which continues to find displaced animals from the storm new homes, and the Moonachie and Little Ferry school districts, according to the release.

“Bergen Performing Arts Center and Ticketmaster has waived all normal ticket fees for this performance and bergenPAC’s union stage hands have donated their time in making this show a success-truly a testament of the community coming together to help those in need,” the release said.

The show will also feature performances from Bergen County’s youngest and brightest national stars, including Liz Gillies “Jade” of Nickelodeon's Victorious, singer/songwriter and actress Heather Braverman, Scarlett Diaz- from The National Tour of Shrek-The Musical, 2012 Englewood Idol Winner Brian Park and special performances from the students from the Performing Arts School at bergenPAC.

Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.com or bergenPAC.org or by calling the box office at 201-227-1030. The concert is scheduled for Dec. 9 at 7 p.m.
