Teaneck, Hackensack Rotary Clubs Team Up to Feed Hungry

The On Our Own Self Help Center also contributed to the success of the event.

Hackensack and Teaneck Rotary Club presidents Sharon Bregman and Kathy Frost saw a substantial number of in need of food and decided to join forces last year to change that.

Last weekend, the two clubs met up at Christ Church on State Street to feed community members and expand a once-annual tradition of the Hackensack Rotary Club.

The two clubs connected with program coordinator Judy Banes of the On Our Own Self Help Center to help launch the project.

Both clubs wanted to demonstrate their mission of spreading goodwill by carrying out this event. Rotary clubs are non-political, non-religious and open to people of all races, religions, cultures and creeds.

Those interested in participating in the Rotary Club are asked to contact Richard Gelber either by phone at 201-343-5600 or email at rich@gelber.net.
