Teaneck Looks to Thank Volunteers

Event tentatively set for May at Teaneck High School.

Teaneck officials are planning an event to recognize the township’s volunteers.

Councilman Henry Pruitt said a date was tentatively set for May to host an event at Teaneck High School. Pruitt, along with other officials, are part of a council committee planning the recognition.

“This enthusiastic committee is going to make it happen and give people a chance to be thanked for what they’ve been doing over the past many years,” Pruitt said Tuesday of the initiative.

The township will create an online form for residents to submit local groups to be recognized, said Councilman Elie Y. Katz, who is also part of the effort.

“It’s our way as a council to recognize all the volunteers in this town that help our residents,” he said.
