Township Announces Flu Clinic Series

October dates planned, township announces.

The following information was provided by the township: 

The Township of Teaneck will hold its influenza vaccination clinics Tuesday through Thursday on the following dates: October 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, 18

The clinics will be held at the Richard Rodda Community Center (Medical Outreach) between the hours of 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Registration is required by calling 201-837-0171 ext. 7023 between the hours of 9AM to 3PM. Applications will be completed on the day of visit. To be eligible to register for the clinic you must be 50 years of age or older, pregnant, or chronically ill with a doctor’s order. In addition, you must be a Teaneck resident. Please bring proof of Teaneck residency and age to register which will be required.

As per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the 2012-2013 seasonal influenza vaccine will protect against A/California/7/2009 H1N1-like virus, A/Victoria/361/2011 H3N2-like virus, and B/Wisconsin/1/2010-like virus. Pneumonia shots will also be available at the clinic.  The shots will be administered at no charge to those having Medicare Part B. Be sure to bring your Medicare Part B card and photo I.D. to the registration as well.  All others will be charged for the influenza ($25) and the pneumonia shot ($75).

Payment by check is required for all persons without proof of Medicare Part B.  If you have any questions, please call the Public Health Nurse at 201-227-6251 or to set up an appointment, please call 201-837-0171 ext. 7023.
