I ordered the red lentil soup. Lentils are one of my childhood favorites. I find it amazing how each region around the world can take the same ingredient, add their own distinct flavors and present a fabulous dish. The chicken kebabs and falafel came next. I didn’t know what falafel was. So I tried it. Ground chickpeas seasoned and deep fried. They were very good.

I was impressed with the amount of food that was on my plate. The chicken was so juicy and delicious. Accompanying it was a salad, crispy and dressed perfectly. Rice pilaf and bulgur rice sat on the sides. The dessert menu offers up authentic baklava, need I tell you how wonderful it is? Your choices of sweet indulgent treats are plentiful.

As Toros’ menu reads, “From our homeland to your plate, we bring you a wonderful assortment of dishes prepared from family recipes that have been pleasing palates for centuries.”
