Crane to Block Section of Rodda Center Lot

Utility company says it will work to limit traffic disruptions

A crane will temporarily be stationed at the Richard Rodda Center's Colonial Court parking lot as part of a Public Service Electric and Gas project to upgrade the electricity grid nextdoor, the company said.

"Starting Tuesday, February, 26 and continuing through Friday, March 1, PSE&G will be removing equipment from the Teaneck substation in preparation for the new construction. PSE&G will locate a crane to remove equipment in the Colonial Court parking lot. PSE&G will work with Teaneck police to minimize the traffic interruptions," according to the company's news release.

The project is part of infrastructure upgrades on lines and substations serving Teaneck and other nearby towns, PSE&G officials have said. Work is continuing at another substation on the Bergenfield-Tenaeck border.
