Food Truck Mashup Brings More Than 10,000 Guests to Overpeck Park

18 food trucks served up 10,000 hungry visitors at Overpeck County Park's first ever Food Truck Mashup hosted by Holy Name Medical Center.

Bergen County's first ever food truck festival brought in more than 10,000 visitors to Overpeck County Park Wednesday night.

The event, which was sponsored by Holy Name Medical Center, featured about 20 specialty food trucks serving everything from Thai food to cheese curd, several mobile boutiques and live music.

"Polkadot Cupcake Shop was the crowd favorite," T.H. Waldman, the advertising promotion and events manager for the North Jersey Media Group said.

The mashup is the first in a series of events intended to bring "cool stuff" to Bergen County, according to Waldman.

"There's no cool stuff in Bergen County; I want cool stuff in Bergen County," Waldman said.

The next planned event is Pets in the Park and will be held at Overpeck County Park on September 7.  A health and fitness expo is also in the works, according to Waldman.
