Starting today, Patch will run a new weekly feature called Patch Picks, highlighting editor and reader picks of businesses, destinations, services, organizations, ways to spend a day off, and more.  This list will feature locations around in and around Teaneck worth checking out.

Why Go: Catch the biggest football game of the year at your favorite local restaurant and bar. The price of admission includes an open bar and buffet. Go Glen Rock!

Why Go: Benders boasts some of the best burgers in Hawthorne along with delicious entrees and appetizers.

Why Go: Super Bowl on big screen televisions and seating in the bar or in the restaurant

Pricing: $5.95 appetizers, 25 wings for $14.95, $15 buckets of beer

Where/When: 165 Boulevard, Hasbrouck Heights - door opens at 12 p.m.

Why go: Flat screen TVs and plenty of seating

Pricing: $2 pounds of wings, $1 mini-burgers and $15 domestic beer towers

Where/When: The Mason Jar, 219 Ramapo Valley Road in Mahwah. 6:00-9:30 p.m.

Why Go: The Jar is offering an all-you-can-eat buffet to celebrate the super bowl. The buffet includes pizza, wings, ziti, BBQ and Tex-Mex egg rolls, sausage and peppers and more.

Price: Buffet is $15 per person. Beer buckets are available $10-$15 each.

Where/When: New Your Steak and Pub House, attached to the Double Tree Hotel, 180 Route 17 in Mahwah.

Why Go: The Steak House is offering specials all day long in honor of the big game. Highlights include wings for $3, sliders for a buck, and pints of Coors Light $3 a piece.

Prices: Varied – all Super Bowl foods on sale

Where/When: 774 Main Street, Hackensack, NJ. Opens at 12pm.

Why go: The Football Fans Menu offers a variety of choices including the $5 buffalo wings (12) or the $3 4oz Football Burger. Domestic pitchers are $6, Import Pints are $4, Domestic Pints are $2 and Import Bottles are $3

Where/When: 5-7 Main St., Ramsey   

Why Go: Excellent bar and a great place to watch the Superbowl. Offers a new Sunday Brunch menu. Features Shamrock Smart Healthy Choices.  

Pricing: Prices range from $7 to $15.

Where/When: 183 Old Tappan Road, Old Tappan

Why Go: Come watch the Super Bowl on one of their four 50" high definition TV's while enjoying half price wings.

Where/When: 1415 Palisade Avenue, Teaneck

Why Go: “The longest running Super Bowl party in Teaneck – absolutely,” claims owner Vinny Ottina. Vinny O’s has nine big screen televisions to enjoy the game, and a hot and cold buffet to feast on while the Packers and Steelers bang heads. Entry is free before 4pm, and there is a $5.00 cover charge after. Throughout the afternoon and evening, there will be door raffles, football pools, and two 6 foot heroes will be served to attendees at halftime.
