Dear Zad, You tell 'em!!! This particular blog (see above) was started because it was supposed to be where those in Teaneck could let others in Teaneck share and post what was open for business in our area....not a BASHING FEST, as its become. Where is the gratitude? We have homes, still! As Zad put it: "Seriously take a step back from your constant barrage of negativity and look at the situation through unbiased eyes." As well as JML's comment, "but we are grateful that we have a town to go to at all. It will be ok for us but so much harder for many other families who have lost everything, including loved ones. I will be praying for us all and for all of your familes." As far as ZIZI, then MOVE!!!! For MOST of the other comments: nasty, negative comments!! SHOW SOME GRATITUDE IN THAT ATTITUDE - FOLKS!!!! YOU SEE THIS CRAP, NOAH?
Lisa Buonomo November 02, 2012 at 08:44 PM
Hey Louann.....think I know you first of all. Secondly, you see the nightmare that this blog has manifested into? OMG!!!!! LOL call me, if its you, you should have my #.

Just an update on my med situation. I am glad to say, that my script had been filled but when the power went out, they had no way to make me aware the script was ready. I was in the bin since the night before the storm!!! I LOVE MY CVS!!! GOOD FOLKS OVER THERE!!!

PSEG says they're working on the Palisade Sub Station now. Gratefully, J.
Joshua Fausty November 02, 2012 at 10:28 PM
We received a FedEx package today. Maybe they'll pick up for you.
JML November 03, 2012 at 01:30 AM
Lisa B. - I completely agree with you. Yes, we have no power and it's awful but I know PSEG is doing its best to restore power to us all. My brother has been working for sanitation around the clock in NYC where he works. Today his garage was sent to Rockaway Beach, NY......there were lines of people, like you and I, waiting for a free warm meal (that literally can last for 3 years.) They have nothing. So it is hard to here negativity when oddly our town has had WORST effects from smaller storms and aside from power loss and some downed trees we are still in great shape. When we all have power, we will resume with our regular lives but our beaches and so many towns will have a long road before they are able to get there. I can deal without power for a time, not saying its easy.....But I am just grateful my home still stands and most of our homes as well. Negativity breeds negativity.
JML November 03, 2012 at 01:34 AM
@Tee Smyth - love your positive outlook! You rock.
Jack Carter November 03, 2012 at 07:40 PM
I have been following PSEG Tweets for days and they haven't said sh.t about what's going on and why. They know as h about social media as they do about and prompt courteous service. Even under normal situations they have you waiting all day for a service call. TIme for some early retirement for those not up for the job.

Here's the latest power outage info released this morning: http://patch.com/A-zptj. A new estimated timeframe for Teaneck has been released by the governor's office.

I am a woman born and raised in Teaneck (656 Kent Ave.). Born in 1959, attending Emerson Elementary School, Bryant 6th grade, Thomas Jefferson Jr. High School, and Teaneck High School (class of 1977), I lived in Teaneck until 1979 until I moved to West New York for work, and eventually moving out of state in 1980 after marriage. Teaneck has always remained ever so lovingly remembered in my mind and though now in Houston, Texas (work), I still think of Teaneck as home. I want you all to know that all of you are in the forefront of my prayers. Nothing in the world could ever change the way I feel about NJ, Bergen County, and especially Teaneck. Although I am retired on Medicare disability and my finances are very limited, as soon as my next Medicare check comes in (EOM), I will send what I can to help out as much as I can. Please know there are other Jerseyites down here, even some from Bergen County, who are praying for you too. God bless and help every single one of you.
