Sandy's Aftermath: What's Open in Teaneck [UPDATE]

Sandy has slammed Teaneck, leaving thousands without power and trees down across town. Below is a list of local stores open for business. Please note this list could change and readers are encouraged to call ahead.

• Teaneck General Store, 502 Cedar Lane, Free Wi-fi
• The Cottage Bar, 178 Cedar Lane, open for lunch Monday
• Noah's Ark and Shelly's, 493 Cedar Lane, Free wi-fi. 
• Louie's, 510 Cedar Lane, open daily 6 a.m to 10 p.m. 
• Bischoff's, 468 Cedar Lane, opening Monday and Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. for food, hot coffee, soup and are encouraging people to charge their devices at the store. Bischoff's lost all of its ice cream to the power outage, but hopes to have 40 flavors back by the weekend. The store is also offering to help any neighbors in need.

• Jet Cleaners 455 Cedar Lane, Teaneck, and Jet Cleaners at 4 West Palisade Ave, Englewood. They do wash and fold laundy by the pound.
• Vasili's Taverna, 365 Queen Anne Road
• Three Star Bagels, 402 Cedar Lane
• J&J Pharmacy, 527 Cedar Lane, open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 
• CVS, 375 Queen Anne Road
• Victor's Pizzeria, 540 Cedar Lane
• Kosher Experience, 669 Cedar Lane
• Stop & Shop, 655 American Legion Drive
• QuickStop, 725 Cedar Lane at River Road
• Pizza Crave, 439 Cedar Lane
• Butterflake Bakery, 448 Cedar Lane. 
• Bagel Twist, 376 Queen Anne Road
• The Deli, 253 DeGraw Avenue
• The T-State Plaza Produce Market, Teaneck Road and State Street
• The Right Pizza, 1554 Teaneck Road at Tryon Avenue
• Dunkin Donuts, 275 South Washington Avenue, Bergenfield. 
• Shop Rite, 40 Nathaniel Place, Englewood
• Enrite Gas Station, near Teaneck Road and Puffin Way
• Gas station at Teaneck Road and State Street
• Glenpointe Spa and Fitness is open 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at 200 Frank Burr Blvd in Teaneck. Guests are free through Sunday. Phone charges and showers are available, along with a work out. Massage, skincare, and nail services also avalable for a charge. Phone service is out
