Teaneck Cinemas Giving Away Old Theater Seats

Efforts ongoing to reopen Cedar Lane theater

The owner of the planned Teaneck Cinemas on Cedar Lane is offering up free movie theater seats as he works to renovate the town's only movie house.

Matthew Latten, who signed a lease in April for the former Cedar Lane Cinemas, told Patch last week that work was set to begin to modernize the theater. An initial July opening might have to be delayed until August, he said.

The town's Planning Board recently approved a digital LED marquee for the theater.
