First Halal Food Tour Comes to Teaneck [PHOTOS]
About 1,000 people gathered outside the Teaneck Armory Sunday to sample Halal eateries from around the region.
About 1,000 people gathered Sunday at a festival for the first Halal Food Tour at the Teaneck Armory.
The event, organized by food blogger Sameer Sarmast, included dishes from restaurants around New York and New Jersey. Sarmast, producer of the online video series "Sameer’s Eats," searches out the best Halal food around the country.
The Halal Food Tour made a stop in major cities including Los Angeles in April and more events are planned.
