Free Wireless Internet Comes to Teaneck Recreation Center

Service works on range of devices.

Visitors to Teaneck’s will now be able to access the Internet for free wirelessly, the township announced this week.

“Whether you are at the Center for your child’s dance classes, a community meeting or enjoying the programs at the Senior Center, you will be able to get online any time you are in the building, free of charge,” a statement from Township Manager William Broughton’s office said.

To access the service, users simply search for the “Recreation WIFI” network from their laptop, tablet, smartphone or other wireless-enabled device. The service does not require a password to login.

God forbid someone not have internet every place they go. Isn't the point of a recreation center to get people to actually be active?

You never have anything positive to say. You pooh-pooh just about everything.

The use (or non use) of new technology in public places is a personal discretionary choice. Having the flexibilty and availability of wireless service at the Rodda Center is a plus for our residents and visitors to this heavily used facility.
