Substation Problem Cited in Area Power Outages
Up to 2,000 lost power in Teaneck Sunday morning.
A circuit problem at a Public Service Electric and Gas substation in Ridgefield caused a power outage impacting more than 5,000 customers in towns including Teaneck and Ridgefield Park Sunday morning, a spokesman said.
Power went out at 9:17 a.m. and was restored by 10:27 a.m., said Fran Sullivan, the PSEG spokesman.
Up to 2,000 Teaneck customers were without service during the outage, according to the company's outage map. Outages were also reported in Bogota, Dumont and Moonachie.
