Emergency Crews Respond to Back-to-Back Two Alarm Fires

Two separate fires about an hour apart kept township first responders busy Thursday afternoon.

The first fire, called in at 4:20 p.m. at a house on Sherman Avenue, was contained to a garage, fire officials said. Firefighters had to force their way into the garage to extinguish the flames, and used a thermal imaging camera to check for any extension the home. Teaneck’s Tower Ladder #1 was on the scene just two minutes after the 911 call came in.

A host of local and county officials turned out to show their support, and speak about the importance of the event. Man Charged With Luring in Teaneck Tried to Lure Girl in Hackensack

The man  last month is now charged in another attempted luring of a young girl in Hackensack, city police said.
