Bergen Sanctuary Committee Annual Benefit Dinner

The Bergen County Sanctuary Committee, which the Ethical Culture Society of Bergen County founded nine years ago, announces its annual Benefit Dinner. This event bring together supporters and raises funds for the Sanctuary's work of helping clients who have escaped political persecution and war.

Guest speaker will be lawyer Jamie Gottlieb, an associate at Lowenstein Sandler. Ms. Gottlieb was one of the four pro bono attorneys who worked tirelessly to win the asylum case, and therefore save the life, of one of the Sanctuary Committee's clients, who will be at the dinner. Ms. Gottlieb will speak on “The Moral Commitments of a Major Law Firm: Political Asylum and Other Causes.”

There is no charge for this event, though a donation to support the work of the Sanctuary Committee will be requested.
